Frequently Asked Questions
Why not just use files/upload?
files/upload targets single small files (under 10 MB). Fine-tuning datasets are far larger, so they must go through the three-step chunked upload.
Is purpose required?
No. The official enum currently has only fine-tuning, and the gateway fills it in when omitted.
